Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Researcher to join our talented R&D team team in developing and executing research studies on early stage games. You will closely collaborate with stakeholders across development and publishing in executing user research applying a wide assortment of research methods including playtesting, usability testing, concept testing, telemetric analysis, focus groups, surveys and more.

What You Will Do

  • Advocate for our players and provide strategic guidance about their wants, needs, and behaviors
  • Conduct quantitative research and analysis to understand player behavior, preferences, and engagement patterns.
  • Design and implement surveys, experiments, and A/B tests to gather actionable insights.
  • Analyze game metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
  • Partner with designers and producers on games teams to generate insights and frameworks that will help direct the experience of our new games, as well as systems, and features.

Your Skills & Experiences

  • 1 - 3+ years of demonstrated proven track record conducting quantitative research
  • Implementing quantitative research methods, including hypothesis generation, data analysis, survey design and scripting, sampling methods, fielding, data cleaning, analysis, and insights presentation
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Applied experience with data analysis of large research datasets, such as clustering analysis (k-means or latent class), basic regressions, or similar
  • R, Q, Python, SPSS, SAS and Tableau experience a plus
  • Independent thinking that can take the initiative and approach problem solving with an innovative mindset and focus on scalable solutions
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and thinking through multiple perspectives with the ability to stay grounded in the face of change
  • Experience in the video games or tech industry is a plus

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $67,100 and $99,320 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
