Position Overview:

The Traveling Personal Banker I (PB I) plays a crucial role in fostering and enhancing customer relationships through a consultative sales approach. This position is designed to proactively offer tailored solutions that assist both new and existing clients in reaching their financial aspirations.

The PB I is also responsible for delivering sales, service, and operational support to the retail banking team, embodying Civista Bank's mission to enhance the financial well-being of our employees and shareholders while positively impacting the communities we serve.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Engage daily with customers to cultivate relationships, which includes processing transactions, identifying needs, recommending products, and referring partners to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of products and services to meet customer requirements; open new accounts, perform account maintenance, achieve cross-sell objectives, and resolve issues as they arise.
  3. Commit to personal development through continuous learning and adapt to new procedures and systems to support organizational growth.
  4. Ensure operational tasks are completed consistently and accurately on a daily basis.
  5. Process customer requests promptly and with precision.
  6. Maintain cash levels and manage outages in accordance with established guidelines.
  7. Communicate effectively and consistently with both internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Adhere to regulations and follow policies and procedures to guarantee the safety and soundness of customers and the bank.
  9. Promote the use of technology in everyday banking interactions, including guiding customers on mobile banking, online banking, and other digital services.

Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:
~ 2-3 years of relevant teller experience is required.
~ Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills.
~ Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines amidst frequent interruptions.
~ High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
~ Proficient knowledge of technology and a willingness to embrace new software solutions.


Physical Requirements:

Work may involve eye strain due to prolonged use of computer screens and reading reports. The role requires the ability to focus on tasks despite potential distractions. Physical demands include lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs, as well as effective communication skills, both in person and via telephone. Some travel may be necessary for meetings and training.
