Avery Point is a picturesque 94-acre continuing care retirement community situated in a serene environment. We are part of a national network of communities dedicated to providing exceptional senior living and healthcare services.
Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Driver to facilitate safe transportation for residents, visitors, and staff within our community.
Compensation: Starting at $16 per hour
Schedule: 8 AM - 4:30 PM, 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting residents, staff, and visitors for scheduled and unscheduled appointments.
- Operating vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts.
- Driving non-CDL passenger buses, vans, and sedans.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles.
- Preparing vehicles for use, including conducting pre and post-trip inspections, refueling, and related tasks.
- Logging and monitoring vehicle usage.
- Assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking from vehicles.
- Completing incident reports for any mechanical failures or accidents involving company vehicles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; experience in transportation services preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate vehicles.
- Valid state driver's license, which must be maintained as a condition of employment.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner's Certificate prior to starting, which must be maintained as a condition of employment.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to engage with the senior population.
- Ability to safely operate community vehicles, including non-CDL passenger buses and sedans, demonstrated through a successful road test.
- Experience with vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, including securement systems.
- A minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience, as confirmed through a driving record check.
