Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Transportation Specialist to join our team at InnovAge. As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our frail senior patients to and from our Day Centers and appointments.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Services: Drive InnovAge vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, utilizing defensive driving skills and following InnovAge policies and procedures.
- Participant Support: Load and unload participants in and out of InnovAge vehicles, assist participants into and out of their homes, and provide support with simple tasks as needed.
- Logistics and Communication: Keep Dispatch updated on all events of their assigned routes, maintain safety and cleanliness of assigned vehicle, and coordinate scheduling of van maintenance with the Manager of Transportation.
- Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Participate in the formulation of Plans of Care for InnovAge PACE program participants and contribute to other interdisciplinary team settings.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid state-issued Class C Driver's License with previous DOT and Defensive Driving experience.
- Experience Working with Seniors: Have at least one year of experience working with the frail or elderly.
- Education and Age: Be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Specialized Experience: Have six months of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
- Equipment Knowledge: Possess knowledge of how to use and maintain position equipment.
- Transportation Experience: Have experience transporting the elderly.
