Job Summary

As a key member of the Wickshire Senior Living Group team, the Executive Director - Senior Living Operations will be responsible for leading and directing the community to create and maintain a vibrant and engaging living environment for residents and a great place to work for associates.

This leadership role requires a strong vision for exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction and associate engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation

Develop and implement recreation and activity programs that meet the assessed needs, interests, and capabilities of residents in the community.

Leadership and Team Management

Attract, retain, coach, motivate, and lead a high-performance management team who direct day-to-day operations of the community; hold the team accountable for meeting performance objectives.

Financial Management

Develop and monitor the community's annual operating budget and business plan; lead the Director team in the execution of both, ensuring achievement of financial targets, quality standards, resident satisfaction, and associate engagement.

Sales and Marketing

Serve as the Chief Sales Officer for the community; lead and direct activities of the sales team to ensure effective lead management, execution of the marketing plan, and achievement of occupancy goals.

Service Delivery and Quality

Partner with Directors to ensure that service delivery in each department is consistent with Wickshire standards and applicable regulations.

Communication and Safety

Establish and maintain effective communication strategies throughout the community, ensuring timely and effective sharing of information and a culture of openness; establish and implement safety protocols in the community.

Training and Development

Lead and participate in the planning and execution of effective orientation for new associates and ongoing learning and development of associates through in-services and other training programs.

Family and Resident Communications

Participate in family and resident communications to ensure strong relationships and open exchange of information; hold staff accountable for proactive, positive communications with residents and their families.

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Wickshire's mission policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, geriatrics, health care, hospitality, or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in a senior living, hospitality, health care, or related setting; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Leadership Experience

Minimum of seven years of leadership experience in senior living and/or a multidisciplinary team environment; operations experience in a senior living, hospitality, or residential care environment strongly preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

In communities with a health center, Nursing Home Administrator license strongly preferred; maintain state licensing requirements, where applicable.

Knowledge and Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to connect and communicate effectively, in English, with diverse populations; demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others; ability to analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources and to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
