Position Overview:
The Automotive Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in the sales process, focusing on meeting customer needs while achieving sales targets. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess customer requirements by engaging in meaningful dialogue and active listening.
  • Showcase vehicles through demonstrations and facilitate test drives.
  • Introduce new clients to the Service department and relevant personnel.
  • Ensure a smooth vehicle delivery process, explaining the vehicle's features, warranty, and maintenance schedule to foster customer loyalty.
  • Implement a follow-up system to promote repeat business and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on new products, features, and accessories, understanding their advantages for customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to review monthly goals, weekly activities, and daily plans.
  • Be knowledgeable about automotive terminology and technological advancements to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Report any vehicle lot damages or issues to the Sales Manager promptly.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automotive sales.
  • Complete all required training as directed by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: No prior experience required.

Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Capability to meet sales quotas as per facility standards. Proficiency in personal computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software. A valid driver's license and state sales license are required.

Work Environment:
The work environment may occasionally be loud. The role may require lifting materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Exposure to battery acid, gasoline, cleaning chemicals, and other hazardous materials commonly found in an automotive dealership may occur. There may also be occasional exposure to exhaust fumes or airborne particles.
