Position Overview and Goals

This role collaborates closely with the Automotive Finance Specialist and is tasked with assembling, assessing, and confirming the precision of loan documentation. The loan documentation must undergo a preliminary audit to guarantee compliance and ensure accurate disclosures, fees, interest rates, loan-to-value ratios, and more. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, robust organizational and follow-up capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Meeting deadlines consistently and thriving under pressure are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills are mandatory. Familiarity with NADA, CARFAX, DocuSign, TXDOT, and CBR is advantageous. Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required. A minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least two years of experience in underwriting or funding analysis.

Perform job responsibilities in accordance with bylaws, regulations, policies from the Board of Directors, established service standards, and operational procedures.Foster effective communication with the Automotive Finance Specialist to ensure timely and accurate loan funding.Assist in developing streamlined processes for efficient loan closings.The Automotive Financing Associate undertakes various tasks and supports the daily loan closing activities of the Automotive Finance Specialists. These tasks include (but are not limited to):

  1. Review, pre-audit, and evaluate closing document packages for accuracy and completeness to minimize redraws and post-closing complications.
  2. Ensure loans comply with underwriting, policy, program, and regulatory standards.
  3. Utilize comment system screens to document events, ensuring visibility for management and staff regarding the status of loan files.
  4. Manage the closing pipeline assigned for daily transactions and workload.
  5. Address inquiries related to closing requirements from other staff, members, or departments.
  6. Exhibit strong time management skills to organize and prioritize a high volume of loans in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  8. Understand the interrelation of Sales and Service department objectives and contribute to achieving those goals regularly.
  9. Collaborate effectively with fellow Automotive Finance Specialists and other employees, utilizing strong communication skills to ensure timely and accurate loan funding.
  10. Follow up to ensure the prompt receipt of missing or corrected information/documents.
  11. Interact courteously and tactfully with internal and external members and others via phone or electronic communication.
  12. Propose improvements to the loan closing process to enhance efficiency.
  13. Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of experience in loan processing or funding analysis.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years or more of similar or related experience.
