Key Responsibilities:
The primary objective is to meet customer expectations regarding quality, quantity, and timely delivery, all while ensuring a safe working environment and maximizing productivity. Specifically, the Production Helper will engage in various activities essential to supporting production operations.

These activities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining overall organization of the workspace; Conducting general maintenance of the shop floor and recycling/trash areas.

Additional Duties:
Receive, store, and distribute tools and equipment to staff as necessary

Assist with shipping and receiving by managing deliveries, unpacking, and organizing incoming tools and equipment

Transport materials to various locations within the facility using a forklift

Ensure items are placed in their designated coded storage locations

Maintain cleanliness of the shop floor using industrial floor scrubbers

Oversee and tidy the recycling and trash areas

Adhere to all safety protocols, practices, and procedures within the plant. Stay vigilant regarding surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Properly utilize personal protective equipment when necessary

Maintain consistent attendance – must have reliable transportation

Execute other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable. Any technical or vocational training related to the skills outlined below is also beneficial.

Basic computer proficiency is a plus

Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and industrial floor scrubbers is preferred (in-house training available)

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities

Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Team-oriented - ability to collaborate effectively with others

Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting throughout the shift

Able to repetitively lift 25-50 lbs.

Candidates must be willing to work overtime as required, which may include weekends and/or holidays

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee operates in a typical manufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts.

Bright overhead LED lighting throughout the workspace ensures a safe environment for employees to perform their tasks.

Generally clean work conditions, though the process may generate some grinding dust, heat/cold, fumes/odors, and vibrations. Housekeeping is conducted as needed throughout the day and at the conclusion of each shift.

The noise level in the work environment is typical of manufacturing settings, with air tools, grinders, and other machinery in use. Yearly audiometric assessments are provided by the company to identify areas for improvement.

Non-climate-controlled facility during summer months, with fans provided in each work area for cooling. The facility is heated during winter months.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Required Equipment

Steel Toe Shoes/Boots
