Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct all activities in alignment with the organization's mission and strategic objectives, ensuring a client-centered approach to service delivery and operational excellence.
  2. Possess a thorough understanding of refugee services and contractual obligations, providing direct case management to assist clients in navigating state and local systems.
  3. Develop individualized Self-Sufficiency Plans for refugee clients, outlining strategies and timelines to achieve stability and independence.
  4. Assess client needs and facilitate appropriate referrals, addressing various aspects such as housing, health, employment, and personal security.
  5. Collaborate with the Employment Specialist to offer guidance on financial responsibilities, budgeting, and planning.
  6. Work in partnership with other teams and community stakeholders to ensure timely access to core services for refugees.
  7. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant programs and guidelines, ensuring superior service delivery.

Core Services Include:

  1. Providing cultural orientation and information on rights and available services to newly arrived clients.
  2. Offering interpretation and transportation services as needed.
  3. Assisting clients with applications for social security, health screenings, and educational enrollments.
  4. Ensuring timely implementation of all required core services.
  5. Delivering extended case management for clients, with a focus on vulnerable populations.

Program Leadership:

  1. Exhibit problem-solving skills in complex cases and facilitate training sessions for colleagues.
  2. Conduct intake assessments for clients and provide them with an overview of available services.
  3. Stay informed about current refugee and immigrant issues to better serve clients.
  4. Represent the organization at relevant speaking engagements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  1. Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in required databases.
  2. Ensure all client information is recorded for reporting purposes.
  3. Participate in supervision and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and collaboration.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clear driving record.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and operate office equipment.
  • Must be able to listen and communicate effectively.
