Job Title: Refugee TANF Case Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Refugee TANF Case Manager to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our workforce development team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive case management and follow-up services to clients, building strong relationships, and facilitating professional development workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients to aid in eliminating challenges that hinder employment, including assessment, individualized attention, and coordination.
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up services.
  • Conduct new customer orientation and ensure positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract.
  • Facilitate professional development workshops and maintain organized databases of clients.
  • Ensure participants follow through with planned activities as outlined in the contract with the funding agency.
  • Provide individualized assessments of work and referrals to community service or social service agencies when needed.
  • Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment and document all participant contacts and activities in case notes.
  • Manage programs, including coordination of introductory workshops, facilitation of weekly workshops, and collection of placement data.
  • Work collaboratively with the business services team to identify available jobs, qualifications needed, and workshops/trainings that can best prepare jobseekers for these positions.
  • Develop and maintain a standard communication plan to keep staff aware of center-wide issues and their role in meeting operational goals.
  • Participate in training, capacity building, and professional development activities and work with leadership to identify operational challenges and design process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require.
  • A working knowledge of MS Office and Google Docs.
  • Two years of experience in career advisement and development, workshop facilitation, developing workforce curriculum, public speaking, and content development.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to thrive in environments with multiple stakeholders, frequent change, and diverse objectives.
  • Professional understanding of a vast array of occupations and career paths, ideally including those in the healthcare field.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, healthcare, and/or communications preferred.
  • Customer service experience required.

Additional Information:

  • Hybrid schedule (office and remote days).
  • Must have or be able to obtain AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Have a valid Arizona Driver's License and Insurance.
  • Ability to travel within the local area or state when needed.
