Job Summary

The Regional Dispatch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the company's drivers, owner operators, dedicated carriers, common carriers, and dispatch team. This individual will be responsible for managing the development of the daily shipping schedule at multiple USALCO plant sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch Management: Manage the daily activities of the dispatch team and all company drivers, owner operators, and outside carriers.
  • Route Development: Coordinate and develop daily dispatch routes for all drivers.
  • Customer Service: Strive to continuously improve the driver to dispatch and customer service experience.
  • Performance Management: Perform annual reviews and evaluations, coordinate routine performance review meetings, and follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Work with manufacturing departments to ensure adequate inventory of materials for daily shipping needs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform equipment checks on trailers in the yard.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge and compliance with Department of Transportation Regulations directly affecting our Drivers.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with others both verbally and in written form.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years prior experience with dispatching management, direct experience managing teams of dispatchers remotely.
  • Education: Four-year degree in Business Administration or Logistics Management preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and 8 years of experience.
  • Skills: Organizational and planning skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

The Regional Dispatch Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility with work hours to meet demands of transportation. Travel will be less than 30%.
