We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Clinical Instructor in Anesthesiology, Pre-Operative Services. This is a full-time position responsible for providing patient care and teaching medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre-anesthesia clinical evaluations of patients, including histories, physical examinations, laboratory testing, and consults.
- Conduct anesthesia consults and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Counsel and advise patients and families, as well as educate them on their conditions and treatment options.
- Responsible for the education of patients, families, and the general public on various health topics.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a NYS License or be eligible, Board Certified, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited school of Physician Assistants or Nursing. Three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is also required.
Preferred qualifications include two years of experience working in operating rooms, anesthesiology, surgical specialties, or internal medicine, as well as experience working in an academic medical center or teaching hospital.
