Job Description

Mountaire Farms is seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Coordinator - Occupational Health Specialist to join our team.

About the Job

This is a full-time position working 12:00PM - 9:00PM with competitive salary and benefits. As a Medical Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to employees, ensuring all medical tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care in industrial settings, performing post-offer physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, First Aid, wellness education, and OSHA compliance.
  • Leads and oversees the Medical department as needed, working in conjunction with the Occupational Health Manager on worker's compensation case management.
  • Ensures excellent customer service and builds rapport with employees, understands unit policies and procedures, and can fill in for the Occupational Health Manager when needed.
  • Completes annual competencies, continuing education, and maintains mandatory certifications such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and licensure.
  • Attends off-site education or conferences annually in leadership or area of specialty, independently seeks professional development.
  • Initiates incident investigations, schedules follow-up visits as needed, communicates with Safety and management.
  • Assists with projects delegated by the Occupational Health Manager, supports compliance of drug and alcohol testing programs.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • At least 2+ years' nursing experience.
  • Emergency, occupational health, urgent care, or other relevant experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) a plus but not required.
