Crisis Specialist

The County of Marin is seeking a highly qualified Crisis Specialist to join our team in the Department of Health and Human Services. As a Crisis Specialist, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessments to clients in a correctional institution, conducting crisis and mental health assessments, and developing treatment plans.
This is a full-time, regular position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mentally ill clients across all ages in crisis or emergent situations, and will be able to work well with a small team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field, and equivalent to one year of clinical behavioral health experience under qualified supervision in a behavioral health setting.
You will also need to be registered with the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, and must successfully pass the licensing exam within six years from the date of employment.
