Job Summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will provide critical support and case management services to individuals in crisis, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health and achieve stability and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support and case management services to individuals in crisis, including screening, assessment, and linkage to necessary services.
  • Collaborate with members served to develop and implement personalized recovery plans, ensuring all necessary services are provided.
  • Facilitate groups and provide specialized interventions related to crisis intervention, including education and coping skills.
  • Perform officer of the day functions, including wellness, duty, and standby duties.
  • Collect and document required data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Coordinate transitions to lower levels of care, ensuring seamless support and services.
  • Maintain awareness of community resources and assist members served in accessing necessary services.
  • Assist members served with daily living activities, appointments, and benefits.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies.
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of direct services in mental health or community services, or associate's degree and two years of experience, or bachelor's degree in social services.
  • At least one year of direct service experience with crisis intervention, including screening and assessments.
  • Sensitivity to multicultural populations and issues.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience providing intensive case management and/or intensive community supports using psychiatric rehabilitation concepts.
Skills
  • Thorough understanding of member rights and relevant legal processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer/technology skills.
  • Ability to assess safety risks.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain engagement with members served.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this position include standing, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position also requires frequent hazardous exposure to blood-borne pathogens, hospital waste, chemicals, and infections.
