Freelance Designers Wanted for Strategic Marketing Projects

Job DescriptionProvoc, a strategic marketing and communications firm, is seeking freelance designers to collaborate on a range of projects with nonprofits, foundations, and other clients working for equity and social justice.

This is a contract-based opportunity, with designers engaged on a by-project basis as future opportunities arise.

We are looking to build a team with diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds and encourage submissions from underrepresented groups.

**Key Services and Specializations:**

* Branding and visual identity, including logo design, color, typography, and brand style guides
* Websites and user interface design, including interaction and interactive design, wireframing, and usability testing
* Campaign identity and collateral, including social media graphics, digital advertisements, and print collateral
* Reports and toolkits, including print and digital publications, infographics, and data visualization

**Additional Skills and Specializations:**

* Creative direction
* Animation
* Illustration
* Motion graphics and video
* 3D graphic implementation

**Design Tools:**

* Adobe Creative Suite
* Figma
* Canva
* Google documents (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

**Collaboration and Communication:**

At Provoc, we partner strategically with clients and colleagues to produce accessible, strategic, modern design work. Our team works remotely through Slack, Basecamp, and Zoom to collaborate live and asynchronously with each other and clients.

**Ideal Design Collaborators:**

* Understand and consider equity in the design process
* Bridge design and strategy
* Bridge vocabulary gaps with colleagues and clients
* Are comfortable producing many ideas quickly while remaining objective and open to new ideas
* Are able to workshop ideas and design updates live with clients
* Self-start, take initiative, and are accountable to timelines and commitments
* Stay on top of current design trends and developments
* Accurately estimate the hours required to complete specific tasks or deliverables

**Availability:**

Contract designers should have availability primarily between 8am-8 pm ET, Monday to Thursday, to collaborate with U.S.-based clients and colleagues.
