We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Canon Solutions America. Your primary focus will be on providing efficient and effective maintenance and repair services for our customers' equipment.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Reporting and Documentation: You will be responsible for reporting product failure trends and serviceability issues to your manager, ensuring accurate information and record keeping.
  2. Customer Service: You will meet customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on-site maintenance services.
  3. Technical Maintenance: You will properly maintain all technical information, field service reports, expense reports, and company property assigned to you.
  4. Communication and Satisfaction: You will showcase strong customer communication and satisfaction skills, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
  5. Equipment Performance: You will maintain the performance of assigned machines, ensuring that they are running efficiently and effectively.
  6. Performance Metrics: You will facilitate performance at a level that helps to achieve the branch/district's overall metric targets.
About You: The Skills and Expertise You Bring

Please note that this is a customer-facing role, and you will be required to comply with customer policies and protocols, which may include COVID-19 vaccination and other measures relating to COVID-19.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and expertise:

  1. Education and Experience: You will hold a High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  2. Technical Knowledge: You will possess a basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to successfully complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
  3. Travel and Transportation: You will be able to travel and possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  4. Security Clearances: You will be required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers' premises.
  5. Physical Demands: You will be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
