As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering and auditing remote and in-person I-9 Forms, monitoring daily transactions submitted by departments to ensure I-9 compliance, and serving as the primary UHR contact for the Electronic I-9 System.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and audit remote and in-person I-9 Forms
• Monitor daily transactions submitted by departments to ensure I-9 compliance
• Serve as the primary UHR contact for the Electronic I-9 System
• Liaise between management, faculty, staff, and applicants regarding employment policies, practices, and procedures
• Provide guidance on faculty posting processes via Applicant Tracking System
• Perform audits of faculty job postings
• Provide guidance to hiring departments and applicants regarding pre-employment screenings and onboarding policies and processes
• Enter, review, and adjudicate background checks performed by vendor
• Verify candidate qualifications independently when appropriate
• Coordinate pre-adverse and adverse actions in compliance with pre-employment screening and hiring policies and processes
• Coordinate onboarding tasks and update records in the Applicant Tracking System

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Two years (2) of experience in human resource management
• Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Overall problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills
• Ability to be customer focused and team oriented
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, staffing, onboarding, policy consultation and advisement, training, and compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Experience in higher education
• Experience in a labor environment
