Your Responsibilities
  • Respond to service requests from the Service Resource Center, including a brief overview of equipment/system issues.
  • Engage with customer representatives to identify equipment/systems challenges.
  • Diagnose issues and execute repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at client locations.
  • Adhere to established troubleshooting protocols and consult technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins to resolve equipment issues.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service by maintaining communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements accurately through communication devices.
  • Obtain customer approval upon finishing service assignments.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and assist in training or mentoring team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and operational manuals.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of physical labor, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in various positions, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet client needs.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as necessary.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Maintain inventory on the service vehicle to ensure prompt response to client requests.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures consistently.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
