Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fire Protection Engineer to join our expanding team in Austin. This role is ideal for a professional with over 8 years of experience who is eager to contribute to innovative projects while fostering personal and professional development. Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing automatic suppression systems and fire detection, alarm, and communication systems.
- Conducting thorough code and egress analysis.
- Performing fire-resistant construction evaluations and smoke control assessments.
- Engaging in research related to fire protection and life safety principles.
- Providing consulting services to both internal and external clients.
- Managing client relationships and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Leading project management efforts for both internal initiatives and external client projects.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license in Fire Protection Engineering is a plus.
- An Engineer In Training (EIT) certification is required.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the Fire Protection sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other electronic drawing software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly.
