Job Summary

MarCom LLC is seeking a highly skilled Radiological Control Technician to provide radiological support coverage for maintenance, operational, and routine work involving radioactive materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of radiation protection principles and be able to monitor for radiation, contamination, and airborne radioactivity in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide radiological work coverage and oversight for maintenance, operational, and routine work involving radioactive materials.
  • Conduct radiological surveys for free release of material, personnel surveys for contamination, and surveys for contamination control.
  • Enforce radiological control requirements and ensure ALARA principles are followed during work.
  • Respond to radiological emergencies as required and validate safe conduct of radiological work.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of documented experience providing RadCon coverage for high dose/high contamination work.
  • DOE Core Certification and vocational college certification or equivalent in radiation protection preferred.
  • Ability to qualify and wear a respirator/PAPR/forced air.
