Position Summary:

The Manager of Alumni Relations will be an integral part of the Business Development team, tasked with overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating programs and initiatives aimed at fostering meaningful connections within the alumni community. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Manager of Alumni Relations and the Chief Business Development Officer, ensuring a seamless partnership across various departments while representing the alumni program to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Alumni Relations and the Business Development team to enhance alumni engagement strategies, focusing on expanding the firm's alumni presence through awareness initiatives, networking opportunities, and business development support.
  • Oversee alumni initiatives, including newsletters, continuing legal education (CLE) presentations, social media content, events, and alumni data management.
  • Create compelling content that resonates with clients and elevates the alumni brand, working alongside the Senior Manager of Alumni Relations and the creative team to produce program materials such as newsletters and internal communications.
  • Act as a resource for the alumni network portal, managing content posting, user activation, and developing tracking tools to analyze alumni engagement metrics and the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Coordinate events related to the alumni program and business development, engaging with stakeholders to manage special projects and activities.
  • Assist in the execution of signature initiatives within the alumni program, including the Alumni Allies program, GC Academy, Alumni Ambassadors, and the online alumni community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience in alumni relations or a related field within a large professional services firm or corporate environment.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong integrity and confidentiality, coupled with sound judgment to influence decision-making and effectively interact with executive management.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across various levels and excel in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Results-driven with the capacity to prioritize and manage competing demands, adapting from project lead to support roles as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in portals, websites, and social media tools considered an advantage.

Work Arrangement:
