This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with various engineering disciplines, including Software and Controls, Testing, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Cloud, and DevOps.

The Manufacturing Software Automation team is responsible for delivering solutions to our production facilities and contract manufacturers worldwide, focusing on process optimization and productivity enhancement through automation. These systems are vital for ensuring seamless, scalable, and compliant production of our innovative linear generator.

As a Senior Automation Engineer within the Manufacturing Software group, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and integrating complex automation systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and deliver customized solutions.
  • Overseeing project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful completion of system integration initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements, technological advancements, and best practices to foster innovation and efficiency.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of system designs, integration procedures, and performance metrics; producing regular technical reports.
  • Deploying and maintaining software and firmware on manufacturing servers, as well as managing databases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering disciplines such as controls, mechatronics, computer science, or systems engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting object-oriented software applications.
  • Familiarity with standard software development tools such as TestRail/Xray, GitLab/Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, C, C++, Unix-Shell, etc.).
  • Understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, and controllers.
  • Experience in manufacturing automation is advantageous.

The compensation for this role includes a competitive salary and pre-IPO stock options, along with comprehensive benefits. This position is primarily on-site.
