Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Research Manager to join our team at West Virginia University Research Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our clinical research program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic leadership to our research team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protocol Management
    • Develop and implement effective protocol management strategies to ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical trials.
    • Collaborate with investigators, clinicians, and research staff to ensure seamless protocol implementation and execution.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, IRB, and GCP guidelines.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets for clinical trials, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with sponsor requirements.
    • Collaborate with financial staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Team Leadership
    • Provide strategic leadership to our research team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance research staff skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, IRB, and GCP guidelines.
    • Collaborate with regulatory staff to ensure accurate and timely submission of regulatory documents.
    • Identify and implement strategies to optimize regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably in a life science or healthcare discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical research, with a focus on protocol management and financial management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including FDA, IRB, and GCP guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
