Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading large-scale projects and overseeing teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership
    • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
    • Develop and implement project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor project team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Service Delivery
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define service standards and procedures.
    • Monitor and track project performance, analyze metrics and reports, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure effective project management and delivery to meet customer expectations.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Partner with other teams to cross-train staff and facilitate knowledge sharing.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed on project progress and updates.
  • Operational Efficiency and Reporting
    • Develop and implement formal project procedures to ensure smooth operations and consistency.
    • Monitor project queue levels and ensure efficient resource allocation.
    • Document all required information to maintain project guides and manuals.
  • Additional Notes
    • This role may require participation in applicable IT projects and other duties as assigned.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for success.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in information systems, business administration (MBA), or a relevant Master's in the field in which they will manage AND six years of experience managing projects adhering to formalized project management frameworks AND six years of experience managing personnel
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in information systems, business administration, or a relevant Master's Degree in the field in which they will manage AND eight years of experience managing projects adhering to formalized project management frameworks AND eight years of experience managing personnel
  • OR Ten years of experience managing projects adhering to formalized project management frameworks AND ten years of experience managing personnel
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills

  • Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
  • Two or more years experience supporting US Government customers
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature
  • ITIL/ITSM V.4 Foundation Certification desirable.
  • An Active Dept. of Energy Clearance is strongly desired.
  • Experience with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Experience working within KCS (Knowledge-Centered Services).
  • ITIL/ITSM V.3 or V.4 Foundation Certification
  • Certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, and/or Apple
