Job Summary:

Generac Power Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for increasing aftermarket parts and service business within your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote Generac service and parts departments to increase sales in PM agreements, equipment repairs, rental equipment, fuel tank remediation, and other related services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including branch managers and service teams, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics, as set by the company.
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent industrial sales experience.
  • 1 year of cold calling experience via phone and in-person.
  • 1 year of customer-facing sales experience, including negotiation, presentation, and conflict resolution.
  • Well-developed sales and presentation skills.
  • Computer literacy, including a working knowledge of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Generation equipment.
  • Basic mechanical and technical aptitude, including geometric and other mathematical formulas.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Basic marketing knowledge.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt well to changes in the market.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of college degree or equivalent industrial sales experience.
  • Knowledge in remote monitoring solutions and connectivity or similar.
  • Knowledge of load banking, NFPA 110 requirements, and fuel polishing.
  • Utilization of a CRM tool, pulling reports, and analyzing data.
