Job Overview

The Clinical Research Coordinator I plays a vital role in managing and facilitating research initiatives within the principal investigator's laboratory.

This position involves the preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation, ensuring adherence to all pertinent regulatory standards, including those set by the IRB, Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Responsibilities also encompass participant recruitment, informed consent processes, and conducting experimental sessions, alongside maintaining a detailed schedule for studies and coordinating health-related appointments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the recruitment of study participants, which includes advertising, responding to inquiries, and screening for eligibility.
  • Manage data collection and entry, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all research records.
  • Supervise research trainees and assistants, implementing a comprehensive training program to uphold safety and methodological standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and reports, conducting literature reviews, and contributing to academic outputs such as presentations and publications.
  • Maintain subject charts and manage data through established platforms, ensuring compliance with data management protocols.

Expected Salary:
$40,000 - $55,000/year, based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate's degree or a degree in a relevant allied health field, coupled with one year of pertinent experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in human clinical or experimental research.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Knowledge of pain assessment methodologies and magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Certification in phlebotomy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
