Overview:
The Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics is on the lookout for a motivated and skilled individual to take on the role of Clinical Research Coordinator III. This position is pivotal in our mission to combat cancer and address health disparities in the region. The selected candidate will work autonomously in both clinical and community research environments, overseeing the comprehensive management of designated clinical research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Coordination: Manage data collection processes, including the development and administration of REDCap tools. Engage in the informed consent process with study participants. Oversee protocol-related research activities, including study visits and follow-up care. Screen, recruit, and enroll research participants while ensuring compliance with good clinical practices (GCP) and regulatory standards.
- Project Management: Handle daily protocol oversight for all assigned studies. Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, sponsors, and community partners to monitor project timelines. Create recruitment materials and strategies, maintain study documentation, and coordinate team meetings.
- Administrative Duties: Assist in grant proposal preparation, including managing biosketches and budget justifications. Ensure compliance with regulations, including IRB and human subject payments.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with three years of pertinent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Candidates should exhibit excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, creativity in problem-solving, and a passion for improving population health. Experience in managing large-scale clinical trials is highly desirable.
