Job Overview:
Nikkiso ACD specializes in engineering and manufacturing machinery that operates efficiently at cryogenic temperatures, reaching as low as 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of liquid hydrogen. With over five decades of expertise, we offer the most diverse product line in the industry, catering to nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble cryogenic pump components and perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure precise fitting, alignment, and adjustment of all components, including bearings and seals, adhering to close tolerances and documenting all clearances for engineering review.
  • Verify work to confirm compliance with specifications, customer requirements, and all relevant drawings and work instructions according to standard operating procedures.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and reworking parts as necessary, contributing to failure analysis when requested.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in alignment with 5S principles.
  • Adhere to all quality, engineering, sales, and safety protocols.
  • Consistently attend work to meet production schedules.
  • Disassemble used pumps and equipment carefully to assess the condition of parts and identify potential operational damage, enhancing reliability and customer service.
  • Ensure equipment remains operational by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs.
  • Meet customer and company production schedules with an on-time performance exceeding 80%.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or cryogenic systems is advantageous.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Brazing or welding skills.
  • Experience with balancing and laser machining.
  • Machining and inspection capabilities.
  • Ability to read prints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with cryogenics and refrigeration.
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC circuitry.
  • Knowledge of materials of construction.
  • Understanding of various system components, including regulators, valves, solenoids, and pressure relief devices.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • This role requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, kneeling, talking, and using hands to manipulate tools and controls.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs may be necessary.
  • Overtime may be required based on workload, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Work is primarily conducted in a warehouse environment.
  • Candidates may need to provide a clean driving abstract for travel between facilities and client locations as necessary.

Environmental Safety Requirements:

  • All new employees must complete safety training, including safety awareness.
  • Safety training is provided and monitored by the EHS Manager.
  • Job-specific training modules will be required on an ongoing basis as determined by management.

Employees are expected to wear provided personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed, including safety shoes, glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, and hearing protection. Non-compliance with safety requirements may result in disciplinary actions.
