Role Summary

The Circuit Assembly Technician in our Assembly department is responsible for executing a variety of soldering and assembly tasks on components, assemblies, or subassemblies, adhering to IPC/EIA J-STD-001 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for soldering and assembly tasks by reviewing specifications and comparing actual designs with blueprints.
  • Populate printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to work instructions, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Assemble components by accurately positioning parts and subassemblies, ensuring proper fit and securing connections.
  • Maintain cleanliness of PCBs and assemblies throughout the process and upon completion.
  • Conduct inspections of all assembly work to confirm compliance with applicable standards.
  • Document work by signing off on travelers, dating entries, and recording quantities.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Experience in hand soldering.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Familiarity with various assembly tools, including microscopes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High adaptability to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 in one eye.
  • Availability to work the first shift.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • One year of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Experience with soldering and assembly of military components preferred.

Please note that the role involves prolonged sitting and repetitive hand motions, including handling, grasping, and finger dexterity.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts available.
  • First shift, Monday to Friday.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required.
