The American Water Resources Association seeks a Facilities Operations Coordinator to support the daily operations of the Charles B. Wang Center.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to coordinate facilities operations, event support, and safety protocols for the facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and be adept at problem-solving and multitasking in a dynamic environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time appointment with a salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities

  • Facility Management and Custodial Services: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and address any building maintenance issues. Oversee custodial services, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, and conduct regular inspections and audits. Manage the scheduling and assignment of custodial staff and assist with minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Event Support and Coordination: Assist with event operations by overseeing setup, takedown, and logistics for internal and external events. Serve as a liaison with event clients to support planning and meet logistical needs. Ensure events comply with University policies and regulations related to safety, security, and fire protocols.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain safety and security protocols throughout the facility and surrounding areas. Participate in quality assurance tours and work closely with campus partners to ensure a safe environment for all occupants and visitors.
  • Operations and Administration: Assist with the preparation of daily logs and reports on facility usage, event operations, and incidents. Manage the opening and closing of the facility as needed and maintain an accurate inventory of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
  • 2+ years of directly related professional experience in facilities management or a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including creating Excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent customer service, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or a related field
  • Advanced degree in Facilities Management or a related field
  • Additional years of directly related professional experience in facilities management
  • Certified or licensed in building trades, building safety systems, building operations, and/or facilities management
