Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the New York State Veterans' Home in Oxford, NY. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a supportive and inclusive work environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves working under the supervision of an RN, administering medications, observing residents, and reporting changes in their condition. You will also be responsible for taking and recording vital signs, obtaining specimens for analysis, and preparing and applying simple dressings.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition
  • Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
  • Prepare and apply simple dressings
  • Bathe and feed residents
  • Care for residents and their quarters
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must possess a license and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State. Long-term care experience is highly preferred. The selected candidate will also be required to undergo background checks and medical screenings.

Benefits
  • Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Shift differential and inconvenience pay available for evening and night shifts
  • $4,000 annual geographic pay in addition to salary
