Located in Oxford, NY, our 242-bed skilled nursing facility is a state-of-the-art institution dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to Veterans and their dependents.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary with shift differential and inconvenience pay for evening and night shift schedules. Additionally, you will receive paid holidays, medical, prescription, dental, and vision care benefits, as well as membership in the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System.
Job DescriptionAs a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibilities will include:
- Observe residents and report any changes in their condition;
- Collect specimens for analysis;
- Bathe and feed residents;
- Care for residents and their quarters by performing tasks such as making beds, changing linen, lifting, and moving residents;
You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and services to our residents.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be eligible for this position, you must be licensed and registered as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State or possess a title or be eligible for transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law or be reachable for appointment from an appropriate Civil Service List. Long-term care experience is preferred.
