Opportunity at a Glance
This role involves providing academic support to students throughout their academic program and as they prepare for success on the NCLEX-RN exam. The specialist assesses learning styles, identifies strengths, and creates personalized remediation plans to help students achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Facilitation of simulation-based experiences and labs, including equipment maintenance and setup
- Demonstrates current knowledge of nursing concepts and practice to provide academic support
- Assists in creating Next Generation NCLEX activities and workshops
- Demonstrates effective behaviors and accountability in meeting standards of service excellence
- Communicates and documents student progress toward achieving student and program learning outcomes
- Develops and implements detailed clinically based scenarios for simulated learning experiences
- Coordinates and supervises lab experiences to ensure students meet course objectives
- Staffs open lab and provides individual oversight to students during practice and remediation
- Provides individual or group tutoring and participates in outreach to students with at-risk referrals
Salary Range: $49,199 - $86,253 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
