About the Position

As a Nursing Professional Development Specialist at Chamberlain University, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the success of our students. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to assess learning styles, identify strengths, and develop personalized remediation plans for students. They will also be responsible for facilitating simulation-based experiences and labs, demonstrating current knowledge of nursing concepts and practice.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Facilitate simulation-based experiences and labs to include equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, set-up, and clean-up
  • Assist in the creation of Next Generation NCLEX activities/workshops
  • Demonstrate effective behaviors and accountability in meeting standards of service excellence to students, fellow team members, and external agencies
  • Communicate and document students' academic progress to academic leadership
  • Develop and implement clinically based scenarios for simulated learning experiences

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing required; Master's Degree in Education or Nursing preferred
  • 1+ year experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support preferred
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with proven ability to communicate via telephone, computer, and in person
  • Maintenance of a current, unencumbered RN license required and BLS CPR certification
