Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Childcare Lead Teacher to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. As a key member of our childcare program, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, while also implementing curriculum and activities that promote youth development and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement daily lesson plans and activities that align with the YMCA's curriculum and promote child development.
  • Child Supervision: Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Program Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Staff Support: Provide guidance and support to staff members, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting.
  • Certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and experience with curriculum development and implementation.
