Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Childcare Lead Teacher to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. As a key member of our childcare program, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, while implementing a high-quality curriculum that promotes their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with the YMCA's curriculum guidelines.
  • Supervise and care for children in a classroom setting, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, while promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective childcare program.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required by state and local regulations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with diverse groups of people.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
  • DEI training and certification.
