Job Summary:

The Departmental Systems Administrator will lead and coordinate daily work activities of assigned co-workers, conferring with the supervisor to obtain direction regarding work assignments and priorities. The successful candidate will organize tasks to complete assigned work, monitor the status of work in progress, and inspect completed work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and coordinates daily work activities of assigned co-workers
  • Confers with supervisor to obtain direction regarding work assignments and priorities
  • Organizes tasks to complete assigned work
  • Monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work
  • Confers with co-workers, assists with complex/problem situations, and provides technical expertise
  • Assists with training and instructing co-workers regarding operational procedures and proper use of equipment
  • Assists with supervision of co-workers by reporting employee problems and providing input on disciplinary action and employee performance evaluations

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Defines requirements, plans, researches, and evaluates capability of technology systems
  • Coordinates and maintains department/agency specific technology systems software
  • Coordinates information and resources to ensure proper and timely installation and maintenance activities
  • Verifies availability and proper operation of products for installation
  • Schedules installations
  • Tests installed products per agency standards
  • Provides functional training on department/agency specific solutions as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field required
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in being a functional systems administrator
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle experience
