Position Overview:

The HR Compliance Specialist, Lead is responsible for managing the adherence to the organization's human resource policies and practices. This role ensures alignment with international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as internal guidelines and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations and guidelines set forth by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
  • Lead the development and execution of the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) for the organization.
  • Implement processes to guarantee compliance with various legal standards at all levels.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance challenges and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and submit data for federal and state compliance reporting, including VETS 4212, EEO-1, and relevant pay data submissions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, to support compliance activities.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices to maintain ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance-related inquiries and resolve issues, including partnerships with legal, operations, contracts, finance, and senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a compliance role within a government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading compliance initiatives related to EEO regulations.
  • Proven track record in managing the AAP process.
  • Experience in conducting compliance audits and managing risk identification and resolution.
  • Active certification as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
