Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Recreation Therapist to join our team at Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain functional capabilities and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and develop measurable objectives and goals in conjunction with the rehabilitation team.
  • Design and implement recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education programs to promote patient independence and well-being.
  • Interview patients to assess capabilities, interests, and barriers, and monitor progress to recommend changes or modifications to the program as needed.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to communicate patient needs and progress, and provide regular updates on treatment plans and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress, in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation Therapy or equivalent.
  • Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (CTRT) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in therapeutic recreation therapy, with a focus on neurologic or orthopedic injuries or conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
