Job Title: Maintenance Technician II

Chewy is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at our Fulfillment Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and facilities to prevent breakdowns and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct daily inspections of conveyor systems, shipping, and packing equipment areas to identify potential issues.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned equipment and associated gear list, reducing loss, damage, and defects to zero.
  • Complete repair orders and maintain parts usage records.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems, including 24v ac/dc control circuits, 120v power & control circuits, and 277v-480v power circuits.
  • Follow company procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
  • At least 36 months of previous facility maintenance experience.
  • Electrical experience or understanding, including knowledge of 24v ac/dc control circuits, 120v power & control circuits, and 277v-480v power circuits.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
  • Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level, with the ability to climb and work at elevations up to 35 feet above floor level.
  • Interest in math, electricity, shop mechanics, electric motors, and appliances.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively.
