Job Title: Diesel Technician II

Serco North America is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician II to join our team in Wilkes Barre, PA. As a Diesel Technician II, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel trucks and various other construction, GSE, and utility-specific equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate automotive and diesel vehicles and construction and material handling equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair bucket truck and digger derrick hydraulic systems.
  • Perform engine, electrical, and drivability diagnostics/repair.
  • Perform PA state inspections and manufacturer-recommended services.
  • Diagnose and repair aftertreatment systems.
  • Provide clear and accurate information when entering work order data into a fleet maintenance system.
  • Be responsible for scheduling and prioritizing work derived from driver reports and planned maintenance.
Requirements:
  • A valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Customer-focused, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
  • Be a safety-oriented individual.
  • Drive/take home a service truck.
Additional Desired Experience and Skills:
  • Diesel vocational/technical school certifications.
