Position Overview:

ConsultUSA is seeking an IT Operations Support Specialist II to join our dynamic team. This role involves executing a variety of operational tasks, enhancing existing processes, and ensuring the delivery of IT services while providing round-the-clock helpdesk support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an IT setting, focusing on Service Desk and Operations Management.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Control-M or similar scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies.
  • Experience with a ticketing system or Incident Management System.
  • A+ certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Ability to comprehend job dependencies and assess the impact of changes to Control-M schedules.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Experience with Cherwell software.
  • Experience collaborating with remote teams.
  • Knowledge of Windows server infrastructure, VMware, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of network monitoring applications (e.g., OP5/Nagios).
  • Experience with Active Directory, including unlocking accounts and resetting passwords.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Word.
  • ITIL certification is a plus.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues remotely.
  • Identifying and prioritizing incidents and requests.
  • Documenting and managing all tickets in Cherwell to maintain a comprehensive activity log.
  • Executing standard IT Incident, Problem, and Change Management protocols.
  • Monitoring production batch processes (both Mainframe and Distributed).
  • Collaborating with teams in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or high-volume internal IT support environment.
  • Interpreting system messages and alerts through monitoring tools, generating findings, and developing new operational processes.
  • Adhering to business and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate documentation and procedures.
  • Providing status updates to key stakeholders during significant incidents.
  • Analyzing and resolving complex enterprise technology challenges.
  • Coordinating with vendors for hardware repairs.
  • Identifying incident trends and recommending improvements to minimize future occurrences.
