Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Assist in the delivery of interventions, including individual contacts, psychoeducational programming, and group sessions.
- Provide recreational activities to individual patients or groups as assigned.
- Complete daily documentation of services provided and number of patients participating.
- Monitor patients during scheduled and free time activities to minimize episodes of out-of-control behavior.
- Implement skills workshops and programs in behavior management and other psychoeducational activities.
- Interact with patients in a socially appropriate manner, including involvement in activities or games.
- Document critical incidents and treatment progress in patient medical records.
- Participate in unit meetings and follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
- Experience in providing services to a mentally ill and/or correctional population preferred.
- Must follow all applicable technical instructions and health services bulletins.
- A background check, security clearance, and drug screening are required for this role.
