Position Overview:

Theery is seeking full-time SOC Emulation Specialists at various experience levels, from entry-level to advanced. In this position, you will design and support emulation and FPGA-based prototyping systems for our SOC initiatives. You will work closely with architecture, design, verification, and software/firmware teams to develop and refine emulation models for a variety of applications, including functional verification, performance assessment, software/firmware integration, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emulation Model Development: Design and maintain emulation models derived from RTL and facilitate SOC integration on emulation platforms. Troubleshoot test failures and address simulation/emulation discrepancies.
  • Flow Development: Create compile and runtime workflows for diverse emulation usage scenarios, including functional verification, hybrid simulation, post-silicon debugging, power analysis, and software/firmware support.
  • Capability Development: Innovate and implement features for executing tests on emulators and assist in the integration process from RTL prototyping to post-silicon validation.
  • Tool Integration: Partner with tool vendors to establish requirements and resolve tool-related challenges.
  • Methodology Improvement: Contribute to the advancement of methodologies and automation enhancements to boost emulation efficiency and deliver value.

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of digital logic design, CPU/SOC architecture, microarchitecture, industry-standard interfaces, and memory subsystems.
  • RTL and Verification Skills: Expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog and familiarity with verification methodologies and tools, including simulators, waveform viewers, and build/run automation.
  • Experience with Emulation Tools: Practical experience with Palladium, Zebu, Veloce, Protium, or HAPS. Familiarity with QEmu or similar software simulators is advantageous.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in C/C++ and experience in simulation acceleration utilizing transactors or accelerated verification IP.
  • Debugging and Analysis: Background in performance analysis and debugging methodologies.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or TCL is beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and self-motivation.
  • Team Collaboration: Capacity to work effectively within a team environment and meet stringent deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Degrees: PhD, Master's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
