Role Overview

The SoC Emulation team is seeking a talented engineer to join our ranks, focusing on the development, deployment, and maintenance of advanced emulation environments. In this highly impactful position, you will be at the heart of a chip design initiative, collaborating across various disciplines, significantly influencing the timely delivery of functional products to millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in SoC bring-up on emulation, diagnosing issues with failing SoC/Processor tests and emulator environments.
  • Support multiple emulation environments utilizing the latest techniques, including:
    • C/C++ DPI Transactors
    • System Verilog assertions
    • Coverage analysis
    • Power estimation
    • SpeedBridges
    • Accelerated UVM Testbenches
  • Collaborate closely with Design, DV, Power, Silicon Validation, Performance, and Software teams. Strong design, debugging, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Work with leading emulation vendors to enhance capabilities and troubleshoot issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in emulation across various platforms (Palladium, Protium, Veloce, or Zebu, EP), including design bring-up, build flow, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and VHDL design.
  • Familiarity with C/C++, DPI, and System Verilog.
  • Experience in scripting using languages such as Perl, Python, or Makefile.
  • Knowledge of waveform debugging tools, such as Verdi/SimVision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with UVM verification environments.
  • Background in design verification, DFT, and TestBench modeling.
  • Understanding of communication/interface protocols, including PCIe, USB, DDR, and SPI.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you develop within your role. The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, with your specific pay depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Additionally, employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
