We are seeking a qualified Human Resources Coordinator to provide essential support and expertise across various human resources functions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources within a dynamic environment. Key attributes for this role include a positive demeanor, strong communication skills, thorough follow-through, and meticulous attention to detail. The HR Coordinator will facilitate processes related to the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, benefits management, training and development, and performance evaluation, alongside handling employee relations. This position is primarily remote but will necessitate occasional visits to other locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting, delivering exceptional and responsive service to both employees and management.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our workforce, operations, and organizational culture.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADAA, and EEO.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures effectively.
  • Serve as a point of contact between management and the Regional HR Manager regarding employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and investigations.
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all necessary information and materials are provided and tasks are completed in relevant systems.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, processing offer letters, and initiating background checks, while ensuring compliance with FCC/EEO regulations.
  • Support benefits administration by maintaining knowledge of company benefit offerings, assisting during Open Enrollment, and conducting audits as necessary.
  • Manage leaves of absence in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Address unemployment claims, workers' compensation claims, and employment verification requests.
  • Maintain confidential electronic HR records for all personnel.
  • Help plan and coordinate team training sessions, morale-boosting events, and other activities.
  • Perform additional related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with cloud-based HRIS systems, preferably Oracle HCM.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment.
  • Experience in the broadcasting industry is a plus.
