Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Linux Systems Operations Specialist to join our dedicated team supporting critical operations.
This role is based in a secure environment and requires full-time on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of Enterprise Red Hat Linux infrastructure.
- Install and maintain Enterprise Linux servers and associated network systems in compliance with established policies.
- Conduct testing of new software releases to ensure compatibility and reduce user disruption.
- Assist users in navigating and utilizing IT systems effectively.
- Collaborate with Service Desk and Systems Administrators for optimal support.
- Utilize ITSM ticketing systems for documentation and trouble management.
- Provide timely updates and status communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Enhance system operations and resource efficiency through capacity analysis and planning.
- Research and propose improvements for system performance.
- Maintain effective communication with remote clients.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline, or four years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- Possession of an active Top Secret Security Clearance with the capability to obtain and sustain SCI access.
- A DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing Linux/Red Hat systems and networks.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with big data and data formats such as CSV, CEF, JSON, and XML is advantageous.
- Experience with Splunk is preferred.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $68,000 to $124,550. This range serves as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation. Factors influencing the offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity.
