About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at RadNet, Inc. as a part-time member of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This team provides comprehensive services to adults dealing with serious mental illness (SMI) in Western Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Psychiatric Assessments: Conduct thorough psychiatric and medical assessments to oversee treatment and provide clinical supervision.
  • Provide Therapeutic Sessions: Perform psychiatric assessments, therapeutic sessions (individual, group, family), and educational interventions as required.
  • Prescribe Medications: Prescribe psychotropic medications and regularly evaluate their efficacy and side effects, educating clients about these medications.
  • Collaborate with Nurses: Collaborate with registered nurses in assessing clients' physical health, making referrals to community physicians, and coordinating medical treatments with psychiatric care.
  • Offer Support and Education: Offer ongoing support, counseling, and education to team members and clients' family members, empowering them with knowledge about mental illness.
  • Crisis Assessment and Management: Provide crisis assessment and management during work hours, off-site, over the phone, and serve as on-call backup for emergency situations.
Requirements
  • Board eligible or board certified Psychiatrist in the State of PA.
  • Experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Act 33 and 44 clearances are required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
