About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Document Scanning Specialist to join our team at AEVEX Aerospace. As a key member of our declassification program, you will be responsible for providing document scanning support in the Warrenton, VA area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare files and documents for conversion, ensuring they are arranged in date order and free of duplicates, staples, and other obstructions.
  • Determine the most suitable scanning device for each document type, considering factors such as quality and format.
  • Perform and monitor all activities required to scan documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Track and manage the scanning process from start to finish, including receiving and checking in boxes to the database.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and transportation as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of workstations and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including handling walk-in customers and responding to their needs.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on scanning equipment, following manufacturer recommendations or as needed.
  • Review scanned document images electronically to verify accuracy and completeness, rescanning as necessary.
  • Perform hardcopy scanning, microform scanning, oversized scanning, and image formatting/conversion.
  • Deliver scanned pages in electronic format, meeting scanning targets and deadlines.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years of work experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly and crossover eligibility.
  • Ability to lift cartons weighing up to 35 pounds, as required.
  • Previous scanning experience is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality control and indexing.
  • Ability to use various scanning and viewing equipment and tools to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Understanding of security requirements and ability to adhere to them.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office, the Internet, and other internal applications necessary to complete routine and moderately complex tasks.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer software, including search capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of customer systems preferred.
